Lorraine Foley, MD, MBA
Dr. Lorraine Foley is currently the Executive Director and past president for the Society for Airway Management. She has been actively involved with SAM since its inception in 1995 and received the first Distinguished Service award in 2006. She invented the FAST (Foley Airway Stylet made) that was used to intubate through the ILMA. Some of her interests in airway management is Dissemination of critical information of management of the difficult airway, and perioperative oxygenation in OSA and Morbidly obese patients. She is author of many book chapters and publications with most recent: Difficult Airway management in COVID 19 patients: Society for Airway Management Guidelines.
Presently she is Anesthesia Medical Director of Shield Ambulatory Surgical Center.
Patrick Olomu, MD, FRCA, FMCA
Dr. Patrick Olomu is a Professor of Anesthesiology and the Division Chief of Pediatric Anesthesia at the Children’s Hospital of Richmond at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU). He also serves as Interim Vice Chair for Research in the Department of Anesthesiology.
Dr. Olomu is board certified in General Anesthesiology with sub-specialty certification in Pediatric Anesthesiology. He is actively involved in building multidisciplinary pediatric anesthesia programs, mentoring trainees, and junior faculty, and advancing evidence-based practice through institutional and multi-center collaborations.
He is recognized as key opinion leader in pediatric difficult airway management and currently serves as the Chair of the Global Pediatric Difficult Intubation Collaborative.
Waldemar D. Polido, DDS, MS, PHD
Dr. Waldemar D. Polido is an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon, with an MS and PhD degree from the PUCRS School of Dentistry, Porto Alegre, RS, Brasil. Dr. Polido did his Residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at The University of Texas, Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas.
Dr. Polido currently holds a position as a Clinical Professor and he is the Director of the Pre-Doctoral Program in the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery department in Indiana University School of Dentistry. He is Co-Director of the Center for Implant, Esthetic and Innovative Dentistry at The Indiana University School of Dentistry in Indianapolis.
He is dedicated to high level education through ITI - International Team for Implantology MS Society and involved with The Leukemia Society. Dr. Polido is an active ITI Fellow and Speaker lecturing extensively worldwide.
Dr. Daniel Perin is an anesthesiologist practicing at Albert Einstein Hospital in São Paulo, Brazil. He currently serves as President-Elect of SAM and brings expertise in perioperative management and multidisciplinary collaboration within oral and maxillofacial surgery settings.
